The mission of the American Association for Justice is to promote a fair and effective justice system – and to support the work of attorneys in their efforts to ensure that any person who is injured by the misconduct or negligence of others can obtain justice in America’s courtrooms, even when taking on the most powerful interests. Our partners have all been active members of AAJ and many of its committees and sections.
Our attorneys have been consistently recognized by this organization and selected as Illinois Super Lawyers year after year.
“These are the finest attorneys in Illinois as selected by their peers. Based upon ethics, experience and reputation, these lawyers represent the top 5% of their profession.”
In 2014, attorney Scott Lane was invited to join this prestigious organization. The National Trial Lawyers’ Top 100 is an invitation-only institution made up of the best trial attorneys from each state. Nominated by their peers, this group of top lawyers demonstrate an exceptional level of experience, leadership, skill, reputation, influence, and success.
NAOPIA is an organization that helps those looking for a lawyer by naming the top attorneys in each state. Annually, NAOPIA selects less than 1% of attorneys as their Top 10 Personal Injury Attorneys and Top 10 Personal Injury Attorneys Under 40 on a state-by-state basis. Their selection process begins through peer recommendation and each nominee is closely evaluated and finally selected by their Board of Governors.
Our attorneys are all active members and leaders of the Illinois State Bar Association. Fred Lane served as President of the ISBA and founded Fred Lane’s ISBA Trial Technique Institute, which Scott Lane now coordinates and teaches. Stephen I. Lane served for many years as a member of the ISBA Board of Governors as well as many other committees. Scott Lane has served for many years on various ISBA Committees, including several which involve tort litigation and civil practice. Fred, Stephen and Scott Lane have all served as members of the ISBA Assembly, the Association’s highest elected governing body.
